What Is It?

I found these little "things" in a box of odds and ends on a recent picking adventure.

I am thinking they are some type of electrical insulator but the little metal pieces at the top have me perplexed.  So far Google The Great One has provided me with no information to go off of.

The glass is very lightweight and the little metal wire loops are pretty delicate.

They were too neat to go back in the box so I thought they would make an interesting way to display some old family photos.

I *heart* the goat and the wagon...
I must have a goat someday....

Whatever they are, they are pretty interesting.

If anyone knows what they are, I would love to know!

I have no idea! The wire things look like an egg separator, but for some reason they remind me of something from an optometrists office.

I haven't any idea either but I like the work that you have put them to!! Love the photos from your last blog, of the children. Think I'm your latest follower. Joan

Well, whatever they are, you used them in a fun way!

Wow, they do look like an insulator, but have never seen anything like them. Perfect as photo holders :)

I'm thinking along the same lines as you. Not sure though. Whatever they are I love them. Great conversation piece for photos. I have a goat and a wagon pic with two of my sisters inside and another one standing by the goat. I was too small and didn't get a ride. I don't ever remember seeing our goat, named Billy; of course. Thanks so much for sharing this with Share Your Cup Thursday.

I'm clueless too. It's a real stumper but it looks great the way you are using it.

I sure don't know what the original use was but it makes a great photo holder. Wonderful idea.

My hubs thinks they look like metal insulators too, but don't know what top is. But I love them, and I now have to get a goat too! Also love the color of your fan. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best!

I have no idea what they WERE, but it's pretty obvious what they are meant to be now-- photo holders! Love your clever use of them. ;-) Thanks for linking up to Refresh Your Nest Friday!
